Meet the Owners

StreetMod Designs is a family owned business that started in the summer of 2020. This husband and wife duo has a passion for restoring and customizing vehicles to look and drive better then off the showroom floor. They both bring different aspects to the table to ensure you will have the best experience bringing your vision to life.  “Every vehicle has a story and it should continue to live on!”

David Knapp

Owner, Director of Operations

David is the Owner and Director of Operations at StreetMod Designs where he designs and builds your vehicle from start to finish. You can expect 100% transparency when you bring your car to him.

Before starting his own restoration and customization shop, David spent 15 years as a diesel mechanic working on 18- wheelers and trash trucks where he welded panels, repaired engines, and repaired electrical issues. He then spent the last 3 years fabricating and doing mechanical work solely on classic and 1-of-a-kind vehicles at a local restoration shop.

David’s passion for understanding mechanical and rebuilding started at a very early age where he used to take his toys apart and put them back together. Throughout his life, he has helped his dad work on vehicles; with his latest being a 1931 Ford Model A.  He also enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, and finding the next thing to build.

He has a true talent in understanding the designs of mechanics!
